| The Chinese are building a super bus that has elements of tram and tube and which will take hardly any road space - as cars can drive under it.... Have a look at http://www.engadget.com/2010/08/02/china-to-build-ginormous-buses-that-cars-can-drive-under-video/ - In one possible configuration you the exit is via the roof. The power system is also interesting - not so much wires as small contacts on a lamp post. It also has solar cells. There are problems, and I can't think of many places you could use these in the UK - not without raising bridges - but interesting idea. |
