Doncaster amazes me sometimes - a recent internet search and Google Streetview look revealed that the former home of the distinguished musical - and in one case literary - Booth family at no 44 Hall Gate, which should be a Blue Plaque shrine, is now a lapdancing club! - but at least it's still there, unlike much of historic Doncaster. Doncaster was, of course another trolleybus town, and the national trolleybus museum is nearby at Sandtoft (never been myself). |
