Because, you silly little person, I pay for my car and for its use entirely with my own money. I also use public transport fairly frequently (in fact I did yesterday), though I'd use it more if it was of better quality and coverage. In reality, NONE of us ordinary punters, whether car (or for that matter cycle, moped, motor-scooter, motorcycle or van) owners/ users or not, 'get to vote' directly on any aspect of transport provision and regulation - certainly in London, so-called 'consultations' on matters like Uxbridge Road Transit are completely spurious and rigged - if TfL doesn't get the answer it wants, it just ignores the consultation results, and retorts that "It's not an election, just consultation." I still await your answer to my earlier question to you: Exactly what is it about the term TROLLEYBUS that you and your kind can't or won't understand? |
