I own a car, and i dont apologise for that. I also use public transport when it's convienient for me/my family to. I dont remember trams but my mum does and she can't believe anyone wants to go back to them. I have no idea what trolley buses are, but i'm going to find out. I think that buses are comfortable and value for money, why replace them? Money would be better spent improving bus routes/lanes/stops stops. This would cost far less, and with the money saved the council could afford to stop selling off land to developers to build housing, and so stop increasing population in an already over populated city, this is what the real problem is. No public transport can cope with the amount of people living here. I've used the tube/buses in rush hour they are full to capacity. changing them to trams or trolley buses would not change that. |
