| The Planning Inspectorate has published two Decision Letters yesterday (11th December 2013) re. the appeal by Dr Sahota in regards to his property at 43 Castlebar Road, Ealing W5 in the "Haven Green Conservation Area". The Planning Appeal Decision Letter - comprehensively dismissing the appeal - can be seen at: http://www.pcs.planningportal.gov.uk/pcsportal/fscdav/READONLY?OBJ=COO.2036.300.12.6075582&NAME=/DECISION.pdf and a further Decision Letter refusing Dr Sahota's "Costs Application" can be seen at: http://www.pcs.planningportal.gov.uk/pcsportal/fscdav/READONLY?OBJ=COO.2036.300.12.6075586&NAME=/COSTS%20DECISION.pdf My view is that Dr Sahota was poorly advised at the outset and relied on over-ambitious advisers, who have not served him well. Should there be a further application, I hope a more sympathetic and neighbour-friendly architect and planner will be appointed. This may result in a much less unneighbourly proposal for this fine heritage property built in 1885 by James Wills for the owner of the "Hanger Hill Estate, Ealing", Edward Wood Esq (benefactor to the Ealing Board in Victorian times). |
