| So after the house is bought and sold a few times the enquiries before contract are really going to be interesting when some new young green naive freshface in the Council deals with answering the enquiries. If it was the kind of information which in some way led to a loss on the part of a later purchaser, then the Council would be sued for negligence. No Council lawyer can be clever enough to predict all the possibilities of negligence. And if the Council has many claims against it for such a high degree of stupidity (assuming the facts reported here contain the whole picture)then you wonder if their insurance policy for lossess is loaded on the grounds of a poor record. Since the Council is on notice they would be had for maladministration as well. Get it sorted by someone who has an adult view of life. |
