| Dr. Sahota has expressed on this website his intention to appeal this decision, so we cannot be assured that things will not go against the feeling in the neighbourhood. The appeal must be lodged within 3 months of the council decision. Any appeal would be heard by the Planning Inspectorate, an impartial government body in Bristol, I believe. There are two methods of conducting an appeal: informal hearing or written representations. At the request of our ward councillors (Ealing Broadway) the council has agreed to indicate to the Inspectorate the informal hearing method as their preference, as the case has caused so much local interest. The Inspectorate will make the final decision about this, but hopefully it will be the informal hearing at which we can attend and discuss our concerns with the inspector directly. No appeal has been lodged as yet, as far as I know. |
