"People like Isambard KB were the people who really wore the spectacles" Old IKB had his share of rubbish ideas though (he was a useless locomotive engineer, for instance), but people remember the far sighted stuff. One does wonder occasionally what he'd be able to achieve now - quite a lot, I suspect, engineering is still an excellent discipline for the go-ahead young mind. Mind you, I would say that, it's what my degree's in. It would be interesting to put Brunel and Lord Adonis in the same room together.
