'I am astounded that travelling by bus is a humiliation for you. IF that is how you argue I am not surprised that you find it difficult to get an audience with the authorities'. - don't be silly, it's not the fact of travelling by bus that's humiliating, but what the operators all too often put their punters through or leave them to. Do you think we should go cap-in-hand to the authorities to humbly beg for their rubbish services to be put right? - they're supposed to be working for us, not the other way round, and if they're not doing their job properly (as indeed they aren't) they should be firmly pulled up about it, and got rid of and replaced if they can't or won't mend their ways. If you are happy with the current state of public transport service and have the time (evidently much more than most of us) patience and endurance to use it regularly then good luck to you; but its the likes of you that are undermining others' higher expectations and requirements and letting the authorities get away with it. |
