No, the real reason is that they've got away with it all this time for their own convenience and economy, not real need. The Greenford branch service's two trains per hour wouldn't push the West Ealing/ Ealing Broadway line over capacity whatever they've told you. We now live (and have long lived) in a seven day a week society, and dinosaur rail operators must be pushed into belatedly adapting to that fact, rather than continuing to strand would-be Sunday travellers in such corridors. |
