Sounds depressingly like the performance and attitude of 'presenters' at early public meetings re Uxbridge Road tram scheme. Same arrogance, ignorance and complete indifference to local opinion, needs and concerns. Coincidentally I've just today got round to tearing the cellophane off a 6 month old issue of 'Railway Strategies' mag to find a 2 page advertorial article by architect-led consultants BDP, including photo-montage of the proposed revamped frontage and councourse and a perspective overhead view diagram of the proposed concourse and platform layout at Ealing Broadway. Not seen this anywhere else so if wanted and somebody can provide foolprooof guide to posting pix on this chatsite I'll scan and do so. Re BDP, we need to be aware that this is the firm that gave us Ealing Broadway shopping precinct with its ludicrously inadequate main pedestrian staircase and multistorey carpark layout which didn't work (I was personally involved in trying to make a silk purse out of that particular pig's ear by revamping the layout some years after it opened). |
