ut I've been there and I've done that and I would truly love for garden centres to either take the stuff back or not use it at all. Luckily there is less to deal with but it is a shame that big companies have managed to avoid taking back by paying money towards reuse and recycling centres. Does the Council see this money? If you get something big delivered like a fridge you can often get the packaging taken away by the company you bought from. The 'peanuts' or 'whotsits' are easier to reuse, and there is always freecycle if you have a lot. Offering on here might be useful. Check they're polystyrene because the starch ones look so similar. They disintegrate when wet. My niece has recently reused a whole lot of padded envelopes sending off stuff she'd sold on ebay. |
