Dear Councillor Mahfouz Thank you for your answer. I think it a good idea that you will provide a list of FAQs. A concern is that that our streets will in parts of the borough become untidy on account of the irresponsibles who will leave sacks of garden waste in the streets - after the change is introduced. You are not certain as yet about this and we shall see. However it would not be acceptable to have week after week sacks lying around our streets. We want the borough to get tidier rather than otherwise. I regret the changes you propose for garden waste removal will be an incentive for some to make our locality untidier. So what arrangements will you set up to have sacks with garden waste removed? May we expect to put a call into the Council and see those sacks removed in say 48 hours rather than waiting for the street cleaners, whose frequency of service may/will be curtailed. I await your reply. On Albertina's point JSA pays about £65 per week for a single person. £50 is a lot of money for people on very low incomes. How will this be addressed? |
