My Chinese friend visited yesterday and I asked him when he last phoned home, answer mid week. Is father( retired at 50 ) doing well I asked, looking after his father I was told who fainted apparently while talking to some people, fell and broke his hip, has been lying in bed for 2 months, can't move or sit up. How old I asked, 86. I long since knew my friend's grandfather has a farm specialising in raising pigs but even in a Communist wonderland, there is no National Health system or hip replacement operations freely available. My friend wants to go back to see g/father but is still waiting for his visa renewal from since last November. ( My Ukranian friend got his last Sat. so my loan can now be repaid )) However, to get to the point, I also asked my friend if he did ask his father if cycles ever were plated and registered in China, and the answer is no, and I am sure his father years ago would have been a cyclist there. |
