As a road user a cyclist must obey the highway code, there are of course specific sections of the code for cyclists [motor way use springs to mind] but the bulk of it applies to them. Cyclists can and are fined for red light jumping - a shame that motorised traffic is not also fined too unless cameras are in place. At the same time the use of mobile phones, driving without insurance, speeding, driving on pavements, not giving right of way to pedestrians should also be added to the list for car drivers to obey.Things I see a great deal whilst using the road and pavement. |
