Ok, i made it up. But it is almost believable ... and potentially a good rule. Especially for cyclists. Yesterday, cycling along the London road, I got half way down the zig-zag lines of a zebra crossing. At that point two pedestrians decided, without looking, to quickly turn off the pavement onto the crossing. My shouting and squealing brakes alerted them to the potential hazard. They (can I say arrogantly here to point out that peds are equally arrogant) laughed at my efforts to stay balanced. So can we licence pedestrians too please? |
