I understand only too well that it is hard for a cyclist on today's roads. My original point raised was why cyclists ride through the red lights at pedestrian crossings, regardless whether there are people trying to cross. Yes the roads are in a disgusting sake - tell that to my car's suspension and tyres. The roads have always been like it - it is not just over the last few years. ******* Why do I go before the light turns green at a junction - to avoid being knocked off by a left turning car. Cars generally have indicators on showing which direction they are going - perhaps if you checked before you cycled past them? Of course if it is a taxi then you will be risking your life as who knows what they are going to do?! |
