Hello, I borrowed my brother-in-laws van on Sunday 31st May and pulled up outside Ealing Broadway Station at 08:16 to pick someone up. I didn't get out and drove off shortly afterwards. Three days ago I received a penalty charge notice from Park Direct. I know they manage the parking outside the station as I regularly see them hiding in one of their vehicles waiting to clamp motorists. The PCN has two photos of the van which have been clearly taken with a digital camera from behind the vehicle. One is at 08:16 while I am still pulling up as the brake lights were still on, the other is at 08:17. There are signs that state no stopping and I am not disputing this but the contravention date is 31/05/09 and the notice served date is 25/08/09. Does a parking ticket have to be sent out within a certain time limit? I don't want to cause problems for my brother-in-law but it's a bit of a piss take. Thanks |
