Sorry Chris, but I vehemently disagree. Let's look at this another way. My uncle lives very near to Hanwell Station and at times, it gets quite congested there with people driving to the station to pick up passengers alighting from Hanwell. Is it OK for someone to park on his driveway, because it's empty, if they are only waiting for a minute or two to pick someone up ? No it isn't, but it has happened. The same applies to these parking bays - they're PRIVATE PROPERTY and you take a risk by parking in them. Stop moaning that you got caught. The fact that Phil Taylor has shared his insight into how to avoid paying any fine is a result for you and your fellow parking violators. That your parked there because, "the bays were empty and I was causing no disruption to anyone", is irrelevant. You parked on property that was not yours!! I can see your point Chris that at that time of the evening you feel there is no violation, but the simple fact is, there is. It may not be fair, but thems the rules... |
