Richard, Thanks for the feedback. I have been telling people for years that they can safely ignore Park Direct's demands for money whether it is a phoney penalty charge notice, an invoice or a letter from bailiffs. Never ignore a council PCN - it will end badly and expensively. Please remember though that the parking spaces outside Ealing Broadway may be in the wrong place but are owned by people who want to use them to go about their business. Please respect the very clear signs not to park there. Whilst Park Direct's tactics are unpleasant people are ignoring some very large signs and abusing someone else's property. This problem will go away shortly when the council gets the compulsory purchase powers that come with Crossrail. No doubt Cllr Mahfouz will tell us what a genius he is but this situation was impossible to solve otherwise as one of the businesses was intent on holding the custom to ransom for his parking place. |
