"Nor are there any restrictions on photography or video in this country." Simply incorrect I am afraid, there are many restrictions. As example, if one were to take an image for commercial purposes of the GSK building in Brentford you SHOULD seek copyright permission from the building's designers. No one does nor do GSK seek to enforce it, but they could. The same applies to the majority of shopping centres where the owners can impose whatever restrictions they would like. As to photography on London Underground, wrong again I'm afraid. I suggest that you read the comprehensive guide and restrictions at http://www.tfl.gov.uk/corporate/media/5225.aspx. Members of a camera club I use have been 'escorted' from two stations (Green Park and Canary Wharf to be precise) for not having the requisite permits. Back Ealing Broadway, the site is clearly marked as Private Property. It is wholly owned by Network Rail (a category C1 station) and, within the bounds of their 'licence' as a statutory corporation and common law they can set whatever the hell parking and access restrictions they like. |
