| I know many of us complain about the poor content, news selection and search capabilities of the Council's web site - but the current complete failure of the web site for at least 62 hours sets a new standard for local government ineptitude. The site is still out of action. I wonder just how much we are all paying for web site maintenance? How is it that residents' groups web site, maintained by volunteers, tend not to fall over for days on end? And as of Friday afternoon last week, Councillors and Council Officers were not replying to emails - but as in some case this is normal practice it was hard to diagnose this as a software/hardware failure or a normal lack of common courtesy. |
