I received confirmation last week that the fault lies with a virus infection, blamed on someone with a small USB memory device. It is not a website problem but a council wide virus problem. You say that Microsoft is secure, but there has never been a virus that successfully targets a Unix compatible operating system. There may in the future be problems with additional systems such as Adobe Flash, and it is well known that there are criminal gangs attempting to find any way to break all systems, but most problems arise from insecure dictionary passwords. |
