| Perhaps its more of a respect issue? The cycling community seem to have little regard to anyone else, running red lights, riding on footpaths etc. When on the road they try to keep up with other users and simply can't compete, so come off worse. Specially built cycle paths are often ignored, being only for wimps and children. Now they have a special day where roads are closed to other users? Not only cars, but Public transport will be disrupted, a far greener and safer solution to getting about town, so they say. I wasn't anti this event at first, but now I am, it really is pure arrogance. |
