| I'm sorry so many people feel aggrieved byt this event - I think it's fab and only wish it started early enough for me to be able to take part. As the name suggests, it's sponsored by Sky so there may not even be much/any public money involved and if it gets people off their bums and onto bikes, that is surely good for all of us. The Mayor's skyride through the centre of town (September 9th I think this year) is a fabulous opportunity to see and experience London without traffic. It's huge fun and very well organised. And, like the Ealing one, it's only once a year so should be possible to work around just for the single day. |
