| From my information and I have today put in an FoI request for specific information, the hybrid allocation for the 65 is reduced to just a few vehicles ( it had been recently increased with new additional vehicles to ) The replacement vehicles have come from Hounslow Garage and moved to Fulwell. The Fulwell hybrids have been moved to operate on routes inside the Ulez zone. At the same time some routes that near the borders of the new ULez zone are being reduced in capacity and frequency. So a busy route loses its hybrid low emission buses. But all these are by the new Ulez. The thinking being that the need to create a differential for emissions will be needed as the reality is that non compliant vehicles are so few that there will be no change so larger emitting vehicles will be placed to increase statistics at hot spots like Kew Bridge . Richmond, Hounslow and Ealing transport officials made no challenge to this TfL initiative. |
