Paul, you are misinformed on this. There is plenty of documentation on this including officers' reports presented to Hounslow council's cabinet, emails sent by Hounslow Council officers to residents and residents groups and reports on both this web site and the Brentford one. You also can't dispute that there was significant displacement onto Swynecombe Avenue — that was the whole reason for Hounslow feeling they needed to take action. Cllr Guy Lambert, who is a very vocal supporter of his borough's Streetspace measures has written about and acknowledged there was a problem. If Hounslow had followed through on the road closure measures then the traffic that was affecting Swynecombe Avenue would have been displaced back to roads in Ealing. Shutting access from Boston Manor Road was the proposal for which the roadworks was meant to be a dry run — you seem to be unaware of this. |
