| So Government issues a threat to not fund any "future" LTNs/Cycle lanes if existing ones are removed, citing a waste of public funding in installing the badly planned ones that are then removed, Government have a point. But as Mason and Ealing Council had promised to ask residents first on all future schemes, realistically there should be no future LTNs/Cycle Lanes to be funded in Ealing. But now we are seeing Ealing Labour wanting the Uxbridge Road Cycle Lanes now to be permanent with no trials and ignoring the people of Ealing that they represent. Government are not bullying us, Ealing's Labour Councillors are bullying us, shame on them for treating us residents with this utter contempt. Government funded with Taxpayer's money those LTNs that Ealing were going to remove. Government has not stopped Ealing Council removing them. All Government has said is it will think twice about granting Public money to councils who waste it on schemes they quickly rip up. |
