| I took part in the Creffield Road South LTN consultation. Where is the report on the results? It is not even listed on the website list of LTN consultation results. The proposition was predicated upon a lie: that Hale Gardens and Birch Grove were or likely to become “rat runs”. No evidence for this was adduced. They are not and never have been used in this way. The result already of closing off side-roads on the Uxbridge Road, which is a RESIDENTIAL road, is that the road is blocked at some times of the day by more or less stationary traffic pouring out fumes. For residents on the road to open their front door is to expose themselves to a health hazard contrived by Ealing Council in pursuit of its ill-considered LTN agenda. Children walking to school along this stretch of road are exposed to the fumes when the pollution is at its worst. Whoever is behind this proposal and responsible for the failure to publish the results of the consultation may care to savour the nature of the situation by sitting in their garage with the engine running. . |
