I shall go back to what I always used to do. Namely save up the garden waste in bags and when I am going past the tip in a car I shall dispose of the waste. Cheaper than £40 per annum and cheaper than the reduced rate. I compost a fair bit because I want it put back on the flower beds. The number of times I put out pink bags each year I can count on a few fingers. Perhaps I should have the odd bonfire again. The £1M is a pipe dream but if it is counted in full as a saving, against the £85M which I don't believe, then fine. I am against any wheely bins in the small streets of the residential areas. Vandals may or will play games with them and people may well put any old rubbish in them. If any wheely bins have to go in front gardens then they must be no larger than a dustbin, but I don't want a row of them. Much easier to have bags which can be wrapped away when not in use. I don't want Ealing Council to make the environs look untidy. |
