That figure assumes that the percentage of use will remain the same which of course it will not. People will go back to having bonfires, dumping and mixing it in with food waste and driving it to the dump. Put a price on the environmental cost and they will probably end up with a whopping fine for breaching the CO2 quota. They will end up shelling out in excess of £200,000 in damages to property vehicles etc which has risen in all wheelie bin districts that do not have streets with driveways and grass verges. Er how many streets in Ealing borough (not just Ealing, have grass verges and wide driveways?) Idiots for being gullible enough for even considering this, wholly impractical. |
