We DID have biodegradable/reusable bags for garden waste and they were absolutely useless! They kept falling apart. I cdertainly wouldn't waste money buying them! As for Wheelie bins...where are we supposed to keep them? Right now we have 2 green boxes, 1 green food box, 2 white sacks for plastics, 3 pink garden bags, plus I have 1 metal dustbin. As someone mentioned earlier, at least the pink bags and white bags can be flattened and stored away. I don't want my property to look so untidy., What about those people with even less space? Wheelie bins are OK if you have a driveway and somewhere to hide the thing! Also I believe they are difficult to clean properly, especially for those less able. I do hope this council listens to the residents for a change and scrap the idea of changing the scheme and adding an additional charge for the privilege! |
