After decades of average to poor waste collection services in this borough under both adminstrations, the last one finally got it right and it is the best it's ever been in both terms of efficiency and has come on leaps and bounds on recycling. This adminsistration seems to be short on understanding and creativity and is going down the road of methods that have failure stamped all over them. Wheely bins in the types of streets that much of this borough is made up of will be a disaster. These bins constantly damage parked vehicles, block roadways and paths during collections and are a mess. Insurance claims in some boroughs are huge from constant damage caused by them being mishandled by both operatives and residents. They smell and many residents simply never clean them as many simply do not have the facility to do so. The present system works, better than it has for 20 years so why tamper with it. Bunch of idiots in charge it seems who will end up costing us dear from losses incurred from the things they are too dense to have even thought about |
