I have recently had my renewal email for my car (154gm/km pollution) which I park outside my W5 4BL Carlyle Road home. Shocked to see it has risen by approximately 26%, from last years (2024/5) £110 to the required £139 for 2025/6. In the couple of years before that it was £97 from 2023/4, and £90 from 2022/3, so increases have been (approximately) 8%, 13% and now 26% - that's 47% rise in three years, an average of approximately 16% per annum. I don't think that's at all fair I also don't see any way to question this. Residents Parking was introduced some years ago and we now appear to have no influence whatsoever over what we are charged. Is there any way to oppose these huge cost increases? |
