The majority of people don't need to have their parcels delivered to their door. Not having them delivered to your door but to a collection point - often your nearest supermarket or locked boxes) reduces the number of drops the driver has to make and reduces the number of vehicles on the road. Who needs three big vans from the same company blocking up the parking on your road/parked on the pavement/damaging the kerb and pavement etc and often just for some inconsequential non-urgent fancy. Try thinking twice before you click and pick up your parcel when you pop out for a pint of milk. You could avoid the stress of waiting in for something or having something stolen off your doorstep! Particularly irritating if they deliver, you are in and they don't even bother to ring the door bell. |
