| Well Peter, if we continue to follow the stats (readily available online), and look at the stretch of road from Hanwell Bridge to Southall (past Ealing Hospital): 17 pedestrians and 19 cyclists have been injured on that section of road between 2016 and 2023. Of the 17 pedestrians, 9 were on pedestrian crossings or the pavement when hit. 5 were hit by cars, 3 by buses or coaches, 1 by a taxi. None by a cyclist. (2 of the pedestrians were children). Of the 19 cyclists, 5 were seriously injured. Age ranges were 18 to 56. 11 were from the 30% "most deprived" income classification. Last October a man was killed on the dual carriageway outside Ealing Hospital , when a 30 year old man crashed his car into a parked van and then a bus stop, killing the 46 year old pedestrian in the process, and then driving off.
