It says 101 things about you. Then you think my approach to travel is that it is cycling or nothing? Absolute bull. Still it made me laugh. Your strategy of making the roads so unsafe that it forces kids into cars is an audacious one. It made me gasp in disbelief. Any good transport planner would not be wanting to put more cars on the road. There are so many journeys within Ealing that can be made by walking or cycling, if only the roads were more attractive. Congratulate yourself, Simon, on noticing that there is a lower speed limit on the South Ealing Road than there is to the one on the A4. Does it not occur to you that one is a trunk 'A' road and the other is a residential 'B' road? Maybe not? A continuous road should not have a changeable speed limit every mile. A good transport planner will tell you that. Windmill Lane, Southall, used to have this mad stretch (around the bit where the M4 crosses over it) where it went from 40mph to 60mph and back to 40mph before you could reach 60mph!
