CONTRARY TO THE STATEMENT, PUBLISHED BY 'EALING TODAY', (3 MARCH 2011), THAT OVERCHARGING OCCURRED WHEN PASSENGERS DID NOT TOUCH OUT WITH THEIR CARD AT THE END OF THEIR JOURNEY, IT SEEMS THAT THERE ARE MORE QUESTIONABLE REASONS. THERE APPEARS TO BE SOME VERY BASIC FAULTS WITHIN THE SYSTEM, SUGGESTING THAT THE SYSTEM W3AS INTRODUCED BEFORE ANY GUARANTEE COULD BE GIVEN THAT IT ACTUALLY WORKED AS IT SHOULD. THIS BEING THE CASE, THE PASSENGERS USING THE SYSTEM, AS CONSUMERS OF THE SYSTEM, ARE BEING DENIED THE RIGHTS THAT CONSUMERS HAVE, THAT WHAT THEY BUY IS AS ADVERTISED, AND THAT THE PRODUCT IS ABLE TO PERFORM TO A REASONABLE STANDARD OF EXPECTATION. WHAT IS BEING REPORTED DOES NOT APPEAR TO FULFILL THESE REQUIREMENTS. MAYBE YOU ALL HAVE TO TAKE A UNITED STAND AND REFUSE TO USE THE SYSTEM UNTIL IT IS FIXED, OR THE BUREAUCRATS WILL HAVE NO INCENTIVE TO MAKE THE CHANGES THAT ARE NECESSARY. AS I SAID BEFORE, NOT TOUCHING OUT IS THE PASSENGER'S RESPONSIBILITY, BUT TO HAVE A FAULTY SYSTEM IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE OPERATOR, AND THEY SHOULD FIX IT ASAP. |
