| I speak with many people who look at the prospect of brexit with great trepidation. however accept that it is the will of the people. the question is what kind of brexit? many of the folk i speak to thought that we could have a cake and eat it situation. however despite being anti-euro and anti much of the eu integration plans i voted remain. i am more eurosceptic that many who voted leave. the fantastic trade deals with the US and others will bring about the end of the NHS!!. So whilst accepting the will of the people both me and my good eurosceptic friend feel that our government have made a clear mess of the negotiations. There was no clear plan but contradictory slogans. The EU were clearly more prepared than us and in effect the Irish question was thought about in Brussels but not in the UK. All we have is vague ideas and slogans. Brexit means brexit just about sums it up. My eurosceptic friend believes that the only solution is the norway option and then work out over the next 10 years how a true brexit could be achieved!! |
