| A professional would..... Keep an eye on it, a lot of support work is spent watching progress bars, but I take your point that the guy won't be "working" for the full two hours, however until the task is completed, the job isn't finished and its still going to take up some time in the day. If it does fail at some point the PC guy will need to use his skills and knowledge to sort it out. Thats what he's paid for. In a company, IT support staff shouldn't be busy, it's a sign that something is seriously wrong if they are constantly running around like headless chickens fixing problems. |
