It's not a couple of hours of skilled work (which is why the computer guys on Northfields can charge as reasonably as they do and still make a profit). A professional would simply** create a bootable disk (CD / floppy / whatever), stick it in the drive, turn the PC on, and then leave it to its own devices for as long as it took. ** OK, some, usually brief, professional intervention to adjust the PC's BIOS settings may be required if the PC is configured not to boot from removable media. |
