In the past, we have had additional funding for 3 x temporary RecyclingOutreach Officers, who were responsible for raising recycling serviceawareness and to increase participation. They carried out tasks such as door-knocking, running roadshows and visiting community groups. You/Keith are correct in stating that the Waste Minimisation andRecycling Section currently has 3 x Waste Minimisation and Recycling Officers. The Officers in the team currently are responsible for a number of activities, including daily liaison with the contractor (e.g.rectification of any service failures), increasing service provision(e.g. to new flats, to schools), running a variety of projects (e.g.Recycling Rewards Scheme, introduction of kitchen caddies and liners),attendance at meetings, e.g. ward forums as required, organisingevents/roadshows, managing data and reporting National Indicators.
