Eric, I did say who is Mr Moore at the beginning of my last post, I am not a Mr, funny why you would assume I am. You cannot condone the behaviour of Tony's squatters as you say they were mentally deranged/ill. I am glad you cannot condone their behaviour but on what basis do you reach the conclusion they are mentally ill? Do you conclude that everyone who does something wrong must be ill. I would suggest some people are just nasty. And without knowing Tony's squatters none of us can say what propmted their behaviour whether they were in desperate need, freeloaders, drug addicts needing help, thiefs, selfish creeps, who knows but it was an example of the point that I made earlier that squatters damage property which others seemed to be under the illusion did not happen. But I do know you are in no postion whatsoever to provide a diagnosis of mental illness. The Housing Society schemes to which you refer (I assume you mean Housing Associations) does not allow renters to share in the increasing value of the property but rather only those who have shared ownership. Those who only rent do not benefit. I am sure that is what you meant but your statement is misleading. In addition there are not only 2 Housing Associations but many more. And frankly they are not all they are cracked up to be. Also to say that squatting is what Tory and New Labour has got us into is not true as I distinctly recall news items in the 1970's as a child about squatters, so nothing new there. |
