Squatting is when someone is occupying an empty or abandoned property which they don’t own or rent, and without the owner's permission. This is often without the owner's knowledge and without any legal right to do so. And removing the squatters by going through the proper legal channels can be expensive and time consuming. Squatting in my opinion is morally wrong, and the mere fact there are websites to help squatters is merley indicative of the fact that some (not including vulnerable homeless) can be quite savvy and work the system to extract the most they can for their own gain at the expense of someone else invariably an innocent party. I also feel that sqautters are somewhat different from homelessness per se in so far as obviously the vulnerable are in a different class and to be distinguished from hardcore squatters. |
