| Glad you agree school streets are sensible. Fielding has 3-4 entrance/exits to manage their large number of pupils (more than twice the capacity of Oaklands and Mt Carmel), hence why the proposals need to extend over sections of a few streets. Only a teeny bit of Haslemere in included, were it not it would create a little cul de sac that parents/carers determined to park as close to the school as possible would be tempted to head to, only to create congestion and danger when it comes to manoeuvring out. The design seems carefully considered and only operates for 45 mins in the morning and 1 hour in the afternoon. If anything it should last longer to cover school club times. |
