| For clarification about the council’s relatives here one should actually read the officers report recommending implementation of Stop and Shop+. There’s a subsection about revenue. For year 1 (2025/26) it’s expected to bring in £142,500 (approx). Year 2 (2026/27) is expected to be £305,000 (approx). Not inconsiderable sums and likely to increase over time given LBE’s grasping nature. It’s been obvious to the more sensible members of society that the council won’t do anything unless there’s a buck in it for them. As for improving turnover of vehicles, surely allowing longer stays will reduce this. Here’s the report. Read it: https://www.ealing.gov.uk/download/downloads/id/20905/officer_decision_report.pdf |
