At the end of the day Thames Water are bastards. They are owmed (or part-owned) by Veolia now, I think (correct me if I am wrong), formerly known as Cardinal (that none-provider of public services in Ealing), owned by Brown and Root (that American company).
I think that you would have got a lot more sympathy if you had complained about the cost of water to your properties. The Ascott Allotments is known as a nexus of evil in Ealing with a councillor there that must not be named, the Ealing Council allotments manager has a plot there and it is like a Bermuda Triangle for Ealing's allotments: the normal rules do not apply. Anyone who has had anything to do with the Ascot Allotments know about the criminal element there, the racists, and the dodgy freemasons!
Need I say more?
