The Ascot Allotment is very strange. That is an answer. The water does not go in at a lower pressure, that is just incompetance on the part of the Council's allotment mangement. There is an ancient lead pipe connected to a water meter to a piece of 3/4inch or one inch mild steel pipe then connected to a two-and-a-half inch plastic main that feeds all the taps in the Ascott Allotments. Ancient bottle neck from the days the Ascott Allotments were a quarter the size they are now. |
