| We will never have engineers in this country if you have that sort of outlook on life. We cannot just allow everything we use to be designed and made overseas. Just look at what a disaster the Just In Time manufacturing system was to us when we were hit by the most recent worldwide pandemic. There has been a fight back against built in obsolescence which was something that many believed was happening long before more revealing information on it was admitted to be true. Cheap-to-buy is not the be-all and end-all as it can cost us as Council Tax payers, the environment and the planet a lot more to dispose of and make safe. That's not a good idea with the planet's finite resources. |
