Why are you still only considering Stirling Road and Greenford as places to legitimately take your unwanted waste and recycling that is not collected kerbside?? At a Recycling Expo at the Excel recently it was again pointed out how lucky we are in the UK to have ANY COLLECTIONS at all! There are charities helping countries in the developing world to deal with their increasing amount of waste safely and securely. For years now our Councils have been grouped into Waste Authorities and ours is the West London Waste Authority and that gives us access to other sites. It could also be that an expected or hoped for Govt grant (that is now how many public services are financed) failed to be won. Sometimes the details of these grants are stipulated and sometimes Govt relies on Councils creating the best ideas for them to finance and put into action. www.westlondonwaste.org.uk |
